OWL-Space

The OWL-Space Guide

OWL-Space Portal

OWL-Space CCM can always be found from http://owlspace.rice.edu. At that location are informational links, this OWL-Space Guide, a link for sending suggestions and comments about OWL-Space, and links for requesting a new OWL-Space Course or Collaboration site (OWL-Space sites for most courses are automatically created before the beginning of each semester).

To enter OWL-Space itself from this front page, click on the Collaboration and Course Management link.

This link arrives at the OWL-Space Portal. On the welcome page of the Portal is the Message of the Day, which contains important current announcements about OWL-Space. Information on OWL-Space training sessions, new features, surveys, and outages usually appears here.

The tabs on the left contain general information. The Sites link allows anyone to search OWL-Space sites and view public information about a site. An instructor can decide what information about a course site to make public, allowing prospective students to research courses before enrolling.

To login to OWL-Space from the Portal, click on the login link in the upper right corner. Choose LOG-IN using NetID if you have a Rice NetID, and Non-Rice LOG-IN if you do not.

After logging in, you will be taken to your My Workspace.
